Artifact (ar-te-fakt’) n: An object produced or shaped by human craft, especially a tool, weapon or ornament of archaeological or historical interest.

Although I have visited many of the places where some of these artifacts originated, this collection is not exactly “a walk down memory lane”, but was created to give you the opportunity to appreciate the labors of love from different cultures and the chance to “own a piece of history.”

Some of my extraordinary finds that I utilize in my designs are Venetian glass beads (often referred to as “Africa Trade Beads”) from Venice; glass beads from Bohemia (modern day Czech Republic); bone and shells from the continent of Africa; detailed silver repousse’ amulets from Nepal and Tibet; ancient faience beads from Egypt; lapis and carnelian from Afghanistan; crosses and religious objects from Ethiopia; spindle whorls from Mali; shards of Roman Glass; Hebron beads made from the Dead Sea Salts in Sudan; and many other adornments and exotic beads from throughout the Middle East, Far East, Europe and Sub-Sahara Africa.

I have gone to great lengths and will continue to do so in order to bring to you these jewels of the world.
