CHINESE SASH PENDANT: This coin silver sash pendant has colorful glass enamel floral designs. These sash pendants have been made for hundreds of years and were strung on silk thread which was knotted into a tassel. Then the pendant was attached to sashes that were wrapped around the long robes worn predominately by noble Chinese men. The pendant itself is hollow which allowed it to be strung without bearing a great deal of weight. The exact date is unknown but it was collected in China by an Oriental Art collector in the early 1900s.
